Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
Faithful Friends is a volunteer ministry that serves people in hospitals, care homes, memory care, and schools. Many of the people we visit, and many of our own volunteers, live with disability. A website they cannot use would be at odds with everything we do, so we treat access to this site as part of the work rather than an afterthought.
The Standard We Aim For
We are working towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and by most public bodies. That covers text alternatives for images, keyboard access without a mouse, sufficient colour contrast, clear focus states, form labels announced by screen readers, and respecting a reduced-motion preference.
What This Site Already Does
Every page is built to work without a mouse and every interactive control is reachable by keyboard. Images carry alternative text, form fields carry visible labels, and page zoom is never disabled. Animations are gated behind your system's reduced-motion setting, so turning that on in your operating system will calm the site down. Page structure uses real headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate by section.
Known Gaps
We would rather name these than imply the site is perfect. Some sponsor logos are supplied to us as images by the businesses themselves, and their contrast against a light background is outside our control. We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit, so this statement reflects our own testing rather than an independent certification. Any PDF or document a third party supplies to us may not meet the same standard as the pages we build.
Tell Us About a Problem
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us and we will fix it. Email shari@faithfulfriendsaat.com or call 281-819-0419. Describing the page and what went wrong helps us reproduce it quickly. We aim to respond within five business days, and if something will take longer to fix we will tell you what we are doing in the meantime.
Another Way to Reach Us
You never have to use this website to take part. Everything here can be arranged by phone or email instead, including requesting a visit for your facility, asking about volunteering, and registering for an orientation workshop. Call 281-819-0419 and a person will help you.
Something Not Working?
Tell us what happened and which page you were on. We will fix it.
